HSBC offers its Islamic Finance products through its HSBC Amanah brand. HSBC offers wholesale banking (Islamic financing/Sukuk) products globally through Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.

HSBC is a key player in the arranging of Sukuk, and is consistently ranked amongst the Top Global Arrangers, Book Runners.

Since sole lead arranging the first international rated Sukuk issuance for the Government of Malaysia in 2002, HSBC has brought a number of sovereigns and Corporates to a nascent transnational Islamic debt capital market.

As of late 2012 HSBC reorganised its Islamic Finance offering with its operations in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia forming its Amanah offering. HSBC also kept a limited presence in Indonesia.
